Review on 🧡 Organic Beech Wooden Cross Stitch Frame for Needlepoint Embroidery Tapestry Scroll, Stitching Holder (15.7"x 22") by Wendy Rodriguez

Easy to assemble, perfect for sewing large areas!

Not sure because of the negative reviews, this frame works surprisingly well for large cross stitch projects and I found it incredibly easy to assemble and use. I was knitting a Christmas sock for my daughter and was fed up with round embroidery hoops that kept bouncing. My mother-in-law has been working on a cross stitch project on a similar frame she has since the 80's and I immediately wanted to find something similar. If you are working with a large Aida fabric this hoop is great as it keeps the entire piece attached to the hoop and you just need to undo the buttons to move it to the area you are working on (great for Christmas stockings! ). there is something in the photo before I found this frame) but since the Aida snaps into this frame at the top and bottom it stays taut and is much easier to sew. The only slight downside is that after a long time of sitting and sewing and unless you have a lot of extra Aida on top or bottom (e.g. ) the wooden frame gets a little more difficult. sew close to the grid. The frame itself is very durable, and although the packaging was in Russian (!), It was easy and intuitive to understand how to assemble it. I'll probably order one for smaller projects because it's much lighter and stronger than a flimsy round embroidery hoop!

Pros
  • The canvas can be easily fixed with plastic holders at the beginning of the work and removed again at the end. You can easily roll up your work when needed.
