Weak magnets are good for new toys and gags
Very weak magnets don't hold well. Connecting the tracks is difficult and not strong enough. If these buttons were built into magnetic tiles, they would be easier to use and much better. My kids play with it sometimes, it takes longer to create a track so basically just create one track and use it for a few minutes at a time. That's all.
