The instructions were poorly printed and difficult to follow, you just have to find out. I had to return the first chair because the seat had tilted, not sure if it was the seat or the frame, but sitting for more than a few minutes was incredibly difficult. The replacement chair seat was fine but I ended up returning it because the backrest was rocking from side to side so it felt like the whole chair was rocking. Other negatives: the armrest also wobbles, the lumbar support doesn't stay in place and the chair creaks quite annoyingly when you recline. The only positive was that the chair was aesthetically pleasing. In the end I chose Steelcase.
