This basic telephone and the second telephone upstairs are still relatively new, but I can say that after a few weeks it is no longer comfortable to use. There were no instructions, so if a problem arises, get on the computer immediately. A hard copy that can be kept on the phone until the features are explored would be beneficial. There is no explicit notification that you received a call while you were away. No flashing light. Therefore, one must remember to approach the phone and look for a small icon that tells the owner that the calls have been received. The backlight is necessary in part because the screen is small and difficult to read. The price was high, $200 for two phones, and the features listed above should have been implemented at that price point.
