I absolutely HATE taking a metal kennel for my dogs when we leave the house for a day or so. It's so hard and uncomfortable. It should be able to fold, but it's a huge headache and takes way too long. It folds wonderfully and is very light. I could easily put it in my luggage or backpack. My dog is trained to sleep in his kennel at night and this is also necessary because he is still young and will get into trouble if he is not caged or controlled in some way. Besides, he seems to enjoy his own little sleeping space anyway. When I'm visiting family or friends I wish I had his kennel if he gets particularly annoying and won't be put down. He still doesn't understand that people don't like having their faces licked or played with all the time lol. It was more of a hassle than it was worth loading his kennel for such short visits, but now I have him and can just leave him in my car when I need him. I love that it has a waterproof bottom just in case. It's low but my dog is pretty small and it doesn't matter. He has plenty of space to play, which is nice because he can get a little hyper. But still has enough space to put a bed in if he decides to settle down. These are probably the nicest and most durable I've found. If I get a flimsy cheap one, I have no doubt my dog will try to break free. It's really well made and easy to set up. It just opens without any effort. The only thing that bothers me is that the kit doesn't come with any folding instructions. This annoyed me because it opened so easily that I thought it would be easy to fold it back, but I started to worry that I would accidentally bend parts of the metal. I fiddled with it and tried to fold it for about 15 minutes and got a little impatient. In the end I thought look at the pictures on Amazon and there is a picture how to do it. don't know why they couldn't at least add this picture to the product. That seems like common sense to me. But I still feel like I'm about to bend something. IDK maybe I'm still doing something wrong. It's hard to say, but at least I can imagine it. I just have to be careful not to be too rough on any part of the frame. I would rate it 5 stars if the company posted any instructions or warnings about what not to do with it or whatever. In any case, I can't wait to use it soon. I hope my dog likes it too
