I wasn't sure about this purchase when I made it because I thought they'd be too warm or look kinda "old lady"-ish. I was wrong on both counts. They aren't a thin material, more like a lightweight sweatpants material, and they were very comfortable on a very warm day. The fit was perfect, not too baggy or boxy. The pockets don't add bulk in the wrong spots like what happens with many other shorts and skirts. I also like the fact that there are no metal rings where the ties pull through the waistband since those often cause issues with snagging on the ties. Overall excellent purchase
