My parrots love hanging out on a rope pole. I hang it on the blinds above and outside of her cage. If you provide good, comfortable perches, they'll happily stay on those perches and not fly all over the room, so the clutter is concentrated in that one area. The other two perches are good too. They rub their beaks on rough surfaces, and parrots need perches of different widths to properly exercise their legs. So I have all different types of perches inside and outside the cage. Just put paper on the floor under all your outside poles to clean up the mess!
