Review on Milwaukee Electric Tool 2792-20 Jobsite Radio/Charger with Enhanced SEO by Balakrishna Tam

Revainrating 3 out of 5

For a VERY expensive radio on a construction site, Milwaukee seems to have cut a few corners in a few specific areas.

PROS:1. It's a decently powerful (loud) radio, but I just don't know how long the speakers can sustain consistent volume over an extended period of time. 2. Built-in Bluetooth3. Built-in phone charger in the top compartment.4. AM/FM/Clock 5. Comfortable exterior handles6. Built-in power tool charger A charger that also powers the radio from a battery.7. Power cord handles for winding the power cord.8. The looks of the device appear to be able to withstand light/reasonable drops or abuse to some extent. CONS: 1. The front black grille is easy to rust if you use it outdoors frequently. I had to take mine off, sand it down and repaint it black.2. The volume control has a "click", so one click up and the music might be too loud. One click down and the music may become too quiet. This radio should simply have a more normal volume to reach in between. What we had to do when streaming (Bluetooth) like Pandora is turn up the volume and adjust the music volume through the phone.3. The antenna could be a bit stronger and more durable. It looks like it could break easily. I would also think there might be an external antenna connector if that's what you want to use. However, the existing antenna picks up nearby stations quite well, but I'm not sure about distant stations.4. The cord can be 1 or 2 feet longer if the outdoor outlet is near the kitchen countertop and you have no choice but to set the radio to the floor. You may need to bring an extra extension cord. Depending on the price you paid for it, I personally think this radio shouldn't cost more than $125 MAX! It's supposed to be a workplace radio but I feel like it can't stand up to the rigors of the workplace and that's due to the weakness of my cheating. That *CAN* be OK in the garage. or around the pool. or on the beach. However, I don't think I would trust it to be fully rainproof.
