In my opinion it is handy to have such a compact measuring tape. It doesn't take up much space in your bag when you want to take it with you to measure something, and it doesn't take up much space in your drawer when you keep it there. Of course, this soft tape design is especially handy for measuring the type of clothing or checking how much your waist has shrunk after this wonderful diet. My other custom made tape measure is in the traditional free form only and needs to be rolled back after each use. This tape is self-feeding and has a handy button to start the process. It has a metric scale on one side and feet and inches on the other. A total length of 1.50 m is available, so it cannot always replace your longer measuring tapes. So far I like everything about this little tape measure, except that it's annoyingly loud as it makes a loud clicking noise when you pull the tape measure out of the round case. Only mechanical noise, but it ages pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad to have this small, handy tape measure.
