The load has its own power supply. Connecting to a card is just a switch.
The shaft is used to cool the power supply. Great little device, especially for the price. The documentation is on Revain and it was ok when I found out that in the DC circuit the colored rectangle on the load line was another DC input so the load has its own power. I'll install everything over the weekend.
