I have to pay tribute to these curlers. I put them aside for a while thinking it would take too much effort. About 18 months later my hair was damaged and weakened from excessive styling with heat and products, buns etc. I decided to return to these curlers and I'm glad I did. The best thing about these curlers is that they really improve the quality of my hair. The gentle steam allows my leave-in to absorb better and gives my hair amazing shine and bounce, which I thought was impossible as my hair was damaged. I put a tablespoon of argan oil and a few ounces of rose water in the vaporizer and WOW the results are amazing. I run some diluted vinegar through to avoid buildup in the steamer. My hair is thick, shoulder length, longer in the front and shorter in the back, I use around 12-15 rollers, large and medium seem to give me the best results. I have body, rebound and shine. Very happy with these old school steam curlers. Takes good care of my hair and improves its condition. I will upload before/after photos when I can show the result.
