Review on TuffRider Womens Baroque Field Regular by Jason Hayes

Excellent boots, beautiful appearance

I bought these boots in November 2013 to use as competition boots. They look very nice, much better than my previous halves and field boots. Didn't take long to break them in, maybe wear for an hour for several days + but make sure to wear full socks! They felt a bit stiff the first few times I put them on, but now they are quite comfortable both on and off the horse. I also found them easy to clean. After riding, I wipe them down with a damp (not wet) rag to remove dirt. If there is dirt/sand near the thread I use an old toothbrush to remove it. Then rub with dubbin and an old dry sock, making sure all wrinkles are smoothed out. It has kept the skin in good condition even though I might not use it for weeks. Sometimes I put a few drops of machine oil on the zipper and there's no problem. I have found that the ankle of the boot has become wrinkled over time so I suggest using boot lasts as I did not purchase them. I've read that this type of wrinkling is normal but can be minimized by using pads. That's the only thing I would do differently. The boots are definitely less expensive than many other leather boots I've looked at and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pair of boots at a good price.
