I used it on my 1997 Nissan 4x4 Kingcab pickup. Installation was easy, no cutting or splicing: crawl under the left (passenger) side of the rear bumper, disconnect the factory wiring harness and connect the resulting two connectors to the mating two on the Hopkins T-connector. As a preventive measure against corrosion, I coated the plugs with grease before connecting them. If necessary, use plastic ties to keep the cables from hanging or pulling. Tip: If your truck ever has weird lighting/electrical issues after installing this T-connector, e.g. check. If the problem goes away, it means that the electronic control unit in the tee has failed. This happened to me a year after installing my first one.
