I don't know how it worked, but it works!
I bought this because I needed something to take off my waterproof mascara this summer. I don't know how it can remove waterproof mascara while cleansing my skin so thoroughly, but it does. Removed waterproof mascara with a little effort. It does its job perfectly before I wash my face with any other cleanser. In a pinch, it does a great job of quick cleansing before bed. Remember to shake the bottle thoroughly to mix the top and bottom.
