Review on πŸ–±οΈ Unleash Your Gaming Potential with the ASUS ROG Chakram Wireless Aura Sync RGB Gaming Mouse – Featuring Optical Sensor and 16000 DPI by Karen Gonzalez

Great mouse but joystick needs work, Asus

The mouse itself works fine. The sensor is awesome, the weight is great, the grip is great and the joystick feels good. Unfortunately, the main benefit of this mouse, the joystick, doesn't work as well as some might think. It only works with Steam in analog mode, but even then you have to set it up using the Steam gamepad, which is really confusing and non-specific. You can use digital mode, but it can only access 4 fixed macros at a time. Would you like to play a racing game with this mouse while fully depressing the gas pedal and turning slightly to the left? It's not going to happen. But aside from the joystick, this is a great mouse. Everyone works as they want and even more. The RGB lighting on the front has a cool effect: when it's off, the logo disappears. And the light in the mouse-friendly port bleeds onto my mouse pad. You can also disassemble this mouse down to the switches. If you want you can swap the switches with the 2 supplied or some third party ones. If you need this mouse for functions other than a joystick, this is a great mouse and I'd say go for it. If you want that joystick mouse along with other features, I'd say wait until Asus has better joystick controls. Since the main benefit is the joystick and how good it is as of December 2020, it's not of much value to most people. Who knows, maybe a year from now the joystick will work as it was originally intended and will be a great mouse for things like racing sims.
