This is such a neat and nifty kitchen tool. I used to peek under the cap with a butter knife and also tapped the top to try and unscrew it. I just don't have the muscle strength to open jars most of the time and when there are no kids around I have to fend for myself. Batteries are required for operation. They aren't included, but they are standard sized batteries so most people have spares anyway. It only comes in red, but it suits me as my kitchen is red and black. You put it on the jar, it grabs it and loosens the lid. It couldn't be easier.
