No tools required, quick and easy, light weight - love it

I upgraded the SSDs for two laptops so this is the second case I've bought. I'm a bit frugal, I like spending money on a good cause that works, but not necessarily for style or because everyone has it. I like it because its function is on more than one level. Yes, it supports high data transfer rate and convenient size. It's also four times smaller than the first case I bought. Requires 0 tools, easy. Loosen the end, spread it apart, insert the drive, secure the end with a clip, now slide the drive and housing back into the housing until the black clip snaps into place, done. My first case was the SSK M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure Aluminum Adapter which works great but is a little tricky to assemble and heavier. SSK gets very hot which is not very good but I understand this happens. However, this Sokiwi I just received does not heat up at all. However, I have seen where others have had heat issues. It could be more the hard drive and less the case, I'm not sure. Anyhow, I like it. One star off because one of the two short cables didn't work at all. Didn't you know it would be a USB-C to USB-C cable that doesn't work? Thunder! You just have to take it easy, I think.

Pros
  • Hard drive accessory
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
