Review on 🧶 Lacis Yarn Counter with Clamp: Simplify Your Yarn Measuring Experience by Kelly Caballes

I've read all the reviews on this yarn counter and although many said it didn't fit them I ordered this one because I thought I'm always there There are a few people who just "don't understand". Unfortunately the device I received is NOT WORKING. No matter how hard I tried to change the way the yarn was fed into the machine, the little "counter bar" (which the yarn travels over to rotate the counter) WILL NOT move. I've used acrylic finger yarn and even tried to apply enough force to get the bar rolling but it didn't work. Maybe a less "smooth" yarn like wool might work better, but for me it should work with ALL types of yarn. The only reason I gave it two stars was how it sticks to the surface. Some people commented that the hole was the wrong size, but it's actually perfect if you angle the clamp properly with a U-bar instead of the round end of the screw. HOWEVER - I would deduct 1/2 stars if I could because I don't have instructions explaining the unusual way the clip is inserted. I finally gave up, returned it - and took out my kitchen scale, which weighs in GRAMS - and split my skeins in half by WEIGHT while winding - leaving a full skein on the scale and unwinding until it was half the usual indicated mass.
