I don't know what exactly went wrong with my 29 gallon tank recently. Although my favorite fish resisted, it died within 12 hours of using this product. Make sure you test your aquarium water to keep it healthy as medication can change the chemistry of the water and if it's not in good condition to begin with you can be asking for more trouble. If you go to the Tetras website and browse through customer reviews and questions, I find information there that I otherwise overlooked. This product is repeatedly not recommended for aquariums with plants. It should also not be used on invertebrates and scaleless fish such as catfish/shark. It's also important to note that it's recommended not to use amphibians or aquatic reptiles - I have African dwarf frogs and aquatic turtles (all pets are in their own tanks). Another thing to note that I found on their website - this product should not be used in new aquariums - it is only recommended to be used in well established aquariums that are at least 3 months old. I believe that all this information must be known and the description fully updated and corrected.
