Review on TOTO SS113 01 SoftClose Transitional Toilet Seat by Kenneth Harris

I have three Toto toilets at home and I love them. One of the best flushable and easy to clean toilets on the market. All of them have soft-closing seats. There is only one that is used frequently and at some point the soft close seat broke. I ordered this replacement for him. The seat looks great, the color match is great, but the seat just has a lot of play. I don't know if this is normal or if I have a defect but my other two seats which are 16 years old don't have that much play. It confuses me that the seat shifts towards you when you sit down or lean to the side. And yes, the seat is permanently attached to the bowl in case Captain Obvious wants to say something. I don't know if the seats were made in China at the time of purchasing my original seats but now . I also don't know if this is a manufacturing issue or a bad design by Toto. However, I am disappointed with the quality of this seat, especially considering the price.
