Purchased from the Swedish gallery seller. The guitar worked as expected for about a good playing session, although the strum bar was clearly well and probably not used for long. The next time I loaded the game, the controller was unusable. It was constantly scrolling down where simply navigating the menu wasn't possible. After some experimentation I found that this was caused by the controller's d-pad getting stuck (not physically, all the buttons on the controller still feel good) as the only way to stop the scrolling was with it to play with the D-Pad. After some effort I was able to enter the song to see if this issue renders the game completely unplayable. Then I found that the orange button was also stuck (although the button physically looked fine), and of course the broken d-pad made it impossible to strum. Just to make sure it was the controller and not a driver/software issue on my computer, I also plugged the controller into my roommate's Xbox 360 and had the same scrolling issue due to a stuck directional pad. After a bit of research I found other people having identical problems and found that it was caused by bad contacts in the guitar which can be fixed by soldering (something I have no experience with and won't delve into, just to fix it a product that doesn't have to break). Luckily it broke sooner rather than later so I should have had my card refunded in full. I have no doubt that the seller will buy defective guitar controllers, make seemingly poor quality and temporary repairs, and resell these guitars for $80 each. Marked with "good condition/little used". If you buy one of these, avoid the Swedes Gallery seller and be prepared for your guitar to break unexpectedly. If you're lucky like me, this will happen before the return policy ends.
