We bought this backpack to replace our 3 year old preschool backpack we bought earlier this year. We needed one with a chest strap so he could wear it more independently in the car pickup queue. This bag is perfect. It's a little smaller than his old bag, which is a good thing! It easily fits in his lunch box, thermos and clothes. You can also see how a standard laptop fits. The straps are padded on the inside and the quality of the bag is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bag for a younger child.
