I opened it up, replaced my GoPro with this adapter, plugged in my phone and fell in love with it. I'm amazed at how firmly this adapter holds the phone. My Nexus 6 barely fit. The mount is a perfect match for GoPro mounts and mount components. As long as the suction cup base stays firmly attached, this adapter and my phone are also perfectly stable. I should have done this a long time ago. Update: After a few days of attaching it to my GoPro suction cup with the end connector, I found that I was able to restore some vision if I removed the twist in the GoPro mount and attached the mount directly. at the base of the suction cup using the tripod mount in the middle of the back. So I ordered an iPad tripod mount (Revain part number B01IUA8BJ8) as it included a free GoPro tripod mount adapter. Now I have both my phone and iPad on quality mounts and my phone takes up less space on the windshield. I'm still very happy with the phone holder. 1 year (?) update: I have now bought three of these things. I am totally dependent on them. They all still do a great job and I will buy them every time I find a place to mount my phone. The last place is a suction cup on the hatch for recording videos in the car.
