Review on Sony Alpha ILCE-7M2 Body, Black: High-Performance Camera for Professional Photography by Wiktor Barczuk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product at a good price, I advise you to try it.

In 2022, not long after the carcass and the 55mm 1.8 went on sale, I purchased both of them. There was a fantastic camera available back then, but not now. Let's just say there are other, more desirable choices. The absence of standard optics equipped with AF was initially a source of annoyance; nevertheless, the situation had greatly improved after a period of six years. The usability and the menu are standard, and I had no trouble becoming accustomed to them. Pentax, on the other hand, is not even close (IMHO, the most convenient interface for cameras). To summarize, it is prudent to have a backup plan in the form of a camera that can take manual exposures in the event that there is insufficient funding to purchase an A7M3. Aside from that, it goes without saying that the third seven is superior in every way.

Pros
  • + Capability to use any and all manual glasses, even Jupiter-12's, despite its massive hernia. + STAB. There was just one BZK with FF for 2022; nonetheless, at this point, it is not the worst option available. Works reliably up to 135 millimeters, after which it starts to degrade. + Focusing on the eyes. + Compact size and light weight (if without a battery pack).
Cons
  • - Short lifespan of the battery. - The hold is not particularly comfortable. But, if you get a battery pack, you won't have to worry about either of these issues anymore. - The requirement to always use the focus assist (zoom) in order to achieve precise focusing when using manual optics. - Short shutter life; it stopped working after 109 thousand frames. A pattern of phase sensors can be seen in the dark when the ISO value is increased.
