First I wanted to say I am not getting paid for any of my reviews and never will. I'm an honest person, I only leave honest reviews. Now for the rating! - Ignore all the bad reviews. This thing is amazing! I'm a single mom and my daughter is incredibly clingy. She won't sleep without me. Every mother knows what that means (I don't have time for myself). I needed something that could cut fabric quickly without separate measurements or markings. Something that will allow me to cut quickly before my daughter sees what I'm doing. So I decided to find something (or anything at all) that would help me keep my business afloat. And first, I found several of these rotating cutting rulers for about $200. What is funny. Then I came across this very cheap product. That's great! I haven't had any problems and for the first time in a year I can cut fabric again! Cuts smooth, fast and without gaps. The ruler helps a lot and allows me to only have one tool in the work area reducing the risk of my toddler getting stuck on something dangerous. The blade folds very quickly. secure by twisting the guard and does not need to be removed for the blade to work. Everything is assembled so that small details are not lost. The only thing I really complain about is the packaging. Oh my god I forgot how much I hated this type of packaging (thick plastic sealed/melted around the edges). And why products now have "disappointment-free packaging." It took me too long to open this. I tried just tearing it apart after much frustration and ended up cutting myself. But unfortunately that's over. And one day I received this wonderful, amazing, brilliant product. I want to cut everything! This is a smaller version of the others (I think) and only cuts about 11-12 inches (not the full length of the ruler), which is fine with me as I mainly use it for cutting bevels, tape, and other small stuff . There were a few things that took longer, but it's no big deal to push the ruler up, retract the blade, and cut again. Leveling is very easy and I don't use spinning blades at all. So this tool is very, very easy to use. I should also mention that I've had a fear of rotating knives since I was young. My mom is a quilter, seamstress and I've always been overly curious, so I've cut my fingers more times than I can count (which is why I wanted something with strong, reliable protection to protect my own toddler's little fingers) . one suggestion). This is the only slicer I will ever use again. Worth every penny and if the price stays reasonable I will be buying more as gifts for my mom and sister(s)!
