I've read a lot of reviews that it's a complicated connection with electrical connectors but I've had no problems. The connection is firm, but must be snapped in by hand. I installed this on my 2009 Cooper s R56 and had no issues with the installation (3 minutes and 2 screwdrivers) nor had any issues with dashboard warning lights not recognizing the part. 3 weeks installed, looks good and no problems. I can't guarantee the longevity of the lamps, but I'll update the review if I'm unsatisfied. Would buy it again for half the price of the original part
