Review on ERZA SCARLET Wide Tooth Comb: Natural Green Sandalwood Wooden Comb for Curly Hair/Beard, Minimizes Snags, Static, and Tangles by Kate Korte

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really good except.

So the comb arrived in a cute little box as shown in the picture. It looks beautiful and the first inspection (which I confess was rather minimal) did not reveal any initial defects. It's beautiful, feels good in my hand and seems to help make my hair smoother and less static. The ends of the 5e are a bit chunky, making combing around the ears a little awkward, but overall it's manageable and rewarding. The problem appeared when I started combing my hair. It took a few days because the problem is only on one side of their comb and not both, but unfortunately thanks to some very painful hooks I found that three of the prongs had very subtle cuts/cracks in the wood. The three prongs are next to each other and the notches match, so this looks more like an error in cutting the comb shape than splitting the actual wood. Unfortunately I need to find some sandpaper to make the comb usable without pulling out more hair and since I've used it, especially in the long history I haven't found a problem, I'm not exactly sure I will can give it back. I have a feeling it didn't have a split/cut in the tree but I would definitely give it 4 or 5 stars.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Might hurt
