So, here's the thing: Any music lover will find this turntable, like most "Portfolio" turntables, to be junk. The whole mechanism can be bought in China for around $6 and then plugged into all sorts of cases. The pen is custom size, so you can only get two pens. The sound sucks, and the audio outs only work sometimes, and the downforce can't be adjusted, meaning you'll end up wearing out the record's grooves much faster than a good turntable. All in all, if you need a decent turntable as a starter gift for a kid, or just something to play your old records in the garage while you fix your car, this turntable will do the job well enough. I'd say it's a good way to get enough sonic experience out of a recording that you start wanting a better system, or you'll use this thing once and think the recordings aren't worth the hype. Anyway, here's the bottom line: it's a mass-produced, cheap, low-quality turntable that works most of the time and is only suitable for gifts or settings where you don't care about the sound quality.
