Honestly, this article is an additional article for Berkey. It shouldn't be that difficult or difficult to install. Directions were very easy, no problem. The problem arose from a missing wing nut, which I now understand was the case. However, when I tried using the wing nut that came with Berkey, I found it incredibly difficult to tighten and align. Although the instructions stated that tightening should be done by hand only, this level of tightening resulted in leaks. Also, I cut my finger pretty badly trying to maneuver the metal disc. This is a great danger that has not been mentioned at all. I have to decide to return this product and it's sad that such a simple item has to be so poorly constructed.
