My 2 year old is obsessed with seeing the moon and stars every night which is not always possible in inclement weather. It was an easy purchase because now he can watch her whenever he wants. The light is very bright and the different colors keep him interested while falling asleep. Has silent rotation. And I really like that all the pieces fall apart because he's dropped it once or twice, and it's easy to change if you're not using a hard plastic cover.
