I want to start by saying I HATE leaving bad reviews for the products I buy. I usually don't leave a review for a bad product at all. However, I felt that this item was very misrepresented in its description. Let me start with something good. I explained my problem with the product to the seller and they quickly refunded my money. This is good considering some online sellers make it difficult for you if you want to return something. So I want to give them 5 stars for their customer service. As for the speaker, let's start with the positives. The lights work well and move to the sound of the music. I love the control panel on the back of the speaker and the fact that you can control bass, treble, volume and mic volume. There is a separate button to turn the LED on and off. You can also adjust the microphone reverb. There is a handle on the top for easy carrying. It comes with a microphone and a remote control. Now about the minuses of the speaker. Let's start with the sound. The sound was NOT a nice, clear sound. I tried out a few songs that I use for speaker testing. Some songs have more bass while others have more treble. Some songs have special background sound effects. I always use high quality recordings and have compared the speaker to a known good speaker in the same price range. Treble was the bulk of what I heard and even it had a static sound to it. There wasn't much base even when playing heavy songs and I completely adjusted the base. This is not a very loud speaker compared to others of the same size (40W). Then I tried the microphone π€. It felt very light and very cheap. The sound from the microphone was slightly distorted. That would be good for a PA mic, but not for singing. The ad says you can use the mic when playing music and adjust the mic volume and reverb. However, when I tested it, the music cut out every time I tried to sing and I could only hear my own voice. I tried making adjustments to make it work but it didn't work (at least not as a karaoke machine). I didn't try the remote because given the sound of the speaker I didn't see or see any reason to do it any other way and tell you good people if it works or not. I didn't check the battery life either, so I don't know if it will play for 7 hours. After all, this is a normal π speaker. I wouldn't use it for backyard gatherings. Best as a speaker at an event. Or it would be a nice little set for a child who loves music. If the sound of your music is important to you, I suggest spending a few bucks more and getting a better sounding Bluetooth speaker like the Anker, W-KING, or BUGANI. M118 or M83 which can be paired with another for great backyard sound. Also, BUGANI are waterproof (in case you have a pool or clumsy friends π€£). Hope this review helps. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to ask and I will try to answer them if I can. Have fun listening πΆ
