Too big or too small, this fixes it all

I bought these for my tiny stringbean of a 13yo, who previously would never wear jeans because if the length was right, the waist was much too big. And she hates the back-bunching of the adjustable elastic waist, which makes her look like a broom (her words, not mine). These buttons apparently do the trick. You can pin them however much in or out as feels good, and they look very smooth. She wraps hers around almost to her other hip, but hey, she wears them.

After using it for some time it starts to get looser and doesn’t hold as well but other than that they’re great.
