Went to my dealer and they charged $500 for remote, keys and laser cut "key". Okay, I didn't realize that the little pin you pull out to open the case and put the batteries in is called a "key". I also didn't know that he would actually open the car door. Now I know. So I needed my spare set. I bought this remote from Revain, had it programmed by a locksmith and it works. Then I tried to find the right metal key that could open the door when the batteries in the remote control ran out. Bought keys twice. The first was wrong - too short. The second was just the right length, but the locksmith couldn't laser cut it because it's a custom template. The Toyota dealership charges $65 to buy the key and cut it. Quite a divorce. Total cost ($147/remote) + ($120/key) + ($16/key). Better than $500!
