Received today, brand new in retail packaging. This retail pack is promoting the new AF-P DX lens, so Nikon will make and package this kit as you receive it. No change of supplier or anything like that. My kit was shipped from Revain distribution in Los Angeles. You need to update the firmware of the camera and lens. The latest versions are 1.02 and 2.017 respectively, you won't get all of this new lens if you don't. . It's very simple: download two files from Nikon website, unzip them, place the firmware bin file on the formatted camera card, turn on the camera, find and select in the "Setup" menu " the "Firmware Version" and then "Upgrade". This step was missing from Nikon's instructions: after updating the firmware, delete the bin file from the card, otherwise the camera will not see the lens update. Follow the same steps as above using the lens bin file.
