This reflector is well made and effective. The quality of the plastic used and the condition of the mold in which the reflector is cast plays a role. From a distance, this reflector is significantly brighter than the typical yellow-amber hardware store nail reflector or DOT reflector. The center hole is a raised plastic sleeve that extends all the way to the back. So when you mount this reflector, it's less likely to crack if you overtighten it (slightly). The reflector is lightweight for its size, which is important to me as I use it on my bike in the back of my travel bag. It is clearly visible from a distance even in daylight. I attached it with a 4mm nylon screw through the reflector and pocket. Lightweight and will not rust.
