I have plenty of scissors. All shapes, sizes, colors, for every purpose, but sometimes you want something special. That was this purchase for me, something special just to make me smile at the sight. These scissors have a very Victorian look with a detailed aged gold metal base. They are elegant in appearance but very durable in construction. They're not too heavy, but not so light that you can't get a good grip either. They fit my hand well and cut yarn and thread well. They were a bit stiff when I first got them, but a drop of olive oil (and a good rub) fixed that issue. I really should have gotten them a long time ago. Treat yourself to a pair and you won't regret it.
