This was a replacement for the original filter that came with my Hoover Windtunnel T. Unlike the original, it came with an additional black filter component on the bottom, which is OK. The filter itself is a paper and cardboard filter and not very durable. A black filter on the bottom protects the actual filter from some of the air pressure generated and extends its lifespan. However, resistance to airflow allows the filter to become depressurized. I had to get creative to keep the filter in a true vacuum.
