Looks and feels good, sharp needles end there

This tool is well built. The needles are very sharp and can easily go through canvas and plastic. The bad side: Too much wax on the thread, causing the tool to clog with wax in several places, causing the threads to twist or tangle and break mid-stitch. The spools of thread I've found are good to start with, but once you get to the middle, start stitching tear by tear, maybe only sewing 6 to 12 inches at a time before fully opening the tool again and have to cut off what has been torn off, thread it through again and guide it through the needle, which of course is completely connected to the wax. This tool can get the job done, it's a matter of perseverance and calmness because nobody likes to waste their time and this tool can excel at it. I wouldn't recommend this tool unless you can find a replacement.

Pros
  • Tailor's Awl
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
