My Wii was connected to a 4K TV using component cables but like most modern TVs I had to use the supplied component adapters which connected via 3.5mm jacks and the picture was terrible. Color bleed and blur are among the issues and I figured even a bad HDMI adapter would be an improvement. I tried to research these adapters before buying because there are so many different deals out there and I didn't want to end up finding a cheap adapter that could break. After combing through them all I went for it and am very pleased so far. The fit, finish and overall construction of the device is of a higher quality than many others. The plastic doesn't look cheap and the parts fit together. The difference in image quality surprised me. Most people won't notice much of a difference, especially if their TV has true component inputs instead of 3.5mm adapters. The Wii isn't capable of outputting true 1080p HD, so this little adapter won't make a difference. So if you buy it thinking it will make your Wii look like a PS3, you will be very disappointed. However, if you are in a similar situation to mine and have realistic expectations, then I recommend this Portholic Wii HDMI Converter to you.
