Barking has been greatly reduced. We only put him on when he starts barking and won't stop when told to. He usually doesn't keep barking even after we remove the collar. I've never heard it make more than one beep and that seems to do the trick. We tried one with metal tips that left ugly wounds on the neck. We hated what happened to him. We wanted to teach him not to bark, not to insult him! Obedipet is much better as it doesn't have prongs that could hurt our pet. The length of the collar strap itself was very long for our small 15lb dog so you will need to cut off the finished end and leave the raw edge. We are glad we bought this product.
