If you're looking for a really comfortable and versatile hammock, keep looking

I am returning these. Don't waste your time with the rope version. If you buy this at all, spend a buck or two more for one with a strap. Overall I am very disappointed. Pros: small and relatively light (except for metal carabiners - I think steel, not aluminum). CONS: (1) Wrong shape! It's a simple rectangle of fabric folded into a pile and gathered at the ends. This means the sides are taller and much more scholarly than the middle. You CANNOT lie flat if you are perpendicular to the ropes. The way it's made and assembled means the sides are __always__ higher than the middle and the sides curl up to form a cocoon around you. This means that you should sleep bent over like a banana. (2) Hard to get out. This is mainly due to the malformation problem described above, but it is very difficult to get out when your legs are forced to go higher than the buttocks because the sides are more formed than the middle. (3) Undersized. They claim it's "double" and imply it's strong enough for two people. Due to the irregular shape issue above, this looks a lot like two bananas in a bowl - just too tight. I can't say anything about the durability, it depends on the time. The above impressions are based on my first day of use. Like a very cheap 'picnic in the park' type hammock you have on hand - something you don't care too much about - it's good enough for the price. But if you're looking for a truly comfortable and versatile hammock, keep looking - this isn't for you.
