We bought a camping set and we enjoy it more than expected! Kids love being able to customize the music/voice controls and choose different colors or patterns each night. I bought a second set after our first hike and was so glad I did! The second set connects easily to the original set by removing one sensor and connector, which is very simple, and removing the cap on the end of the other cable. This way, one remote controls the entire light string and the colors and patterns work together as one big string! On our second trip, a severe thunderstorm broke out (torrential rain with flooding, strong wind, possible large hail, possible tornado), because of which I even left the camp, which I rarely do. When I came back I found the lights still work great so they are definitely weather resistant and long lasting! I bought a timer so they turn on and off automatically every night. When they turn back on they go back to the last setting (color/pattern) when the light was off which is great! The brightness is perfect for our needs and I could see beautiful lights shining through the trees as I walked down the street after dark. I've also received many compliments from other vacationers in the area. Some colors are brighter than others and brightened up our entire campsite, which was large, but individual bulbs aren't as bright as lanterns if that's what you're looking for. (Make sure you turn up the brightness if the setting was low.) I bought tree hooks to hang my lanterns as we use them for camping and it was so easy to install and close the lanterns with the hooks remove! There are loops at the top of each bulb so you can easily hang them on hooks or nails. Each kit comes with a remote control and an extra light bulb. Batteries for the remote control are not included. It is not possible to change the lighting settings without the remote control, but the sensor will remember the last setting in case the remote control is lost. Since I bought a second set, I can of course only recommend them! I bought a similar set which I thought would be the same but the quality wasn't as good as the Gana sets.
