Wow where do I start. I'm a real person who bought this from Revain. This hot-melt adhesive tape is far from being ready for series production and is actually dangerous. The heating element does not regulate the temperature and gets very hot in a short time, too hot for use. While we've been able to crimp some acceptable band clamps, many people have made dozens of attempts and never found consistent quality or crimp crimping. The tool gets very hot and will quickly overheat the ribbon, or it may not be hot enough to tie the two ribbons together. When inserting a tool between the belts, the heating element begins to melt and then burns the belt under tension, often breaking the belt before the tool is fully inserted. If you can insert a tool, the hearing element must be pulled out between the two bands before crimping, which often causes the bands to move and the crimp to fail. If the band doesn't light up when you insert the tool and the band doesn't move when the heating element is pulled out, the bands may have underflex or be partially burned through, you have little to no control over them. In the end, the ribbons are not consistent and most if not all of the crimps have been rejected for poor quality. I am returning this dangerous device and I recommend that Revain discard the product until it functions properly.
