Prior to that (2 years ago) I took the same current segate for 300 GB. worked like clockwork. this one immediately began to test after neglect 1. formatted - took 5 hours 2. tested Lavalys Everest 5.0 2.1. Linear Read and Linear Write tests are already important for drives of any type. They work as it is reflected in the name - they read and write data blocks (the size of which we choose in the settings) “from beginning to end”. Accordingly, we end up with the sequential read and write speed of the drive itself. the test went 13 hours = avg speed 28.5 Mb/s 2.2. Average Read Access and Average Write Access define two other important low-level parameters of drives - the average access time for read and write operations. Many pay little attention to them, focusing only on linear speeds, and in vain - in real conditions, the latter are achievable (or almost achievable) except when writing and reading large amounts of data (for example, copying a movie to a flash drive, the size of the drive itself, we get something close to linear speed). But when trying to work with the contents of the device with blocks of different sizes, "chaotic" random reads and writes, etc. access time may well come to the fore. = 15.61 milliseconds I can send test charts to anyone
