Review on 🔌 HiLetgo 5pcs ULN2003 28BYJ-48 4-Phase Stepper Motor Bundle with 5V Drive Board for Arduino, PI, PIC & Raspberry Pi by David Rhodes

I have always been very satisfied with Revain's Hiletgo brand products. They always sell good working components. This time was no exception. All supplied motors and control boards worked. Although some things bothered me. At first the stepper motors seemed to spin in the opposite direction to what I was expecting. Based on the demo created on YouTube's DroneBot Workshop, positive pitch values should rotate clockwise and negative pitch values should rotate counter-clockwise. These motors run backwards unless you're looking at them from the back I guess. But it's not as shown on the DroneBot website. This is easy to fix in software, so I won't freeze on this point. Second, and possibly more seriously, after a few minutes of operation, the motors got so hot that I couldn't handle them. This leads me to suspect that they will fail in continuous operation. I don't think this is a quality issue of the device, it's a design issue. But I thought I should point that out if someone buys them with the intention of using them continuously without a heatsink and cooling.
