Bought (2) of these cases to turn some "internal" hard drives into external ones. They have been working well for over a month now! The metal body is strong and very durable. The hard drive is attached to the case with several screws. The rubber buffer offers additional security and is also solidly built. To access the inside of the case you need to remove the rubber bumper. I was afraid this would stress the rubber and possibly break it, but it's very strong. Turning it on and off is a bit fiddly, but not a big deal. My biggest issue is that the power adapter is a bit oddly shaped and no other power plug can fit next to it. Again a slight annoyance depending on the setup.
