The blades will not catch the fruit unless it is small.
I tried to mix strawberries (halved) and an apple (cut into 8 pieces). No matter how hard I try, the blades won't grab the fruit to crush it. I tried shaking the jar, cutting the fruit into even smaller pieces (1/4 for strawberries), but the fruit didn't hit the blade. I think if I cut the fruit into very small pieces they might mix, but that would be too much work. To return.
