I wanted to buy a 90 or 120 tooth ratchet as I thought it would be better for loosening bolts but realized that she wouldn't mount the next plate to go into space, or removing trucker bolts, so I found a 72-tooth ratchet better suited for most of my jobs. I have another 72 ton ratchet but it didn't last as long because it came with the kit. This one seems more like a true 72 ratchet because it doesn't vibrate much when you turn the drive and it can handle at least 18 pounds of torque, so I give it props. They also say the more teeth, the more likely they are to break because they get smaller with the diameter of the ratchet. Most applications, procedures and jobs are unlikely to exceed 72 notched ratchets. In this case, I found that this Tecton was exactly what it was designed and marketed for. It's definitely ergonomic and inexpensive, but I don't know how long it will last. The quick release is really handy, and I think it's a ratcheting support if you don't want to pull the trigger or head out of the bolt very quickly - for spark plugs, for example. You are definitely buying a good ratchet and I would recommend it for hobbyist or small home/car repairs. I'm sure Tekton have larger ratchets for larger applications so always check your specs before purchasing!
