Good: Assembly was easy thanks to the pins provided. The overall design is good. The parts were powder coated. The Bad: - The retractable arms that fit the sides of the kayak have holes to adjust the length. The holes weren't drilled properly so the pins didn't go through them. The next size down pin was too crooked. Drilling holes can ruin the powder coating and cause rust. Poor fit of parts means there is a lot of play or play when assembled. I measured that the cross could rotate almost 10 inches in the receiver at the end. All of the pieces don't fit together well, meaning this thing will rattle like crazy unless you put a lot of weight on it and hit bumps. I returned mine. I could have used tape to make the pieces fit better, but it's pretty redneck and won't take long. Basically I sent it back because of the holes not drilled properly.
