Bought this brown size 12 5 piece set for my 11 year old for Christmas 2021. Before getting this set, he was opposed to wearing bow ties but has settled into wearing black trousers, a jacket and a long patterned tie every Sunday. In the church. When he first said this suite, his eyes fell on his forehead in a good way. He was so happy to wear it for the first time, bow tie and all. He was short for his age and of a slim build, so I hoped he'd hold out until next Christmas. It was a bit too big for what I was hoping for and looked wonderful. There were a few loose threads that I had to unbutton, more on the white shirt than the rest of the set. The pants have a plain black bottom so they can be cut to your desired length. We never saw the pants pull up for his size and it worked well. In a suit he behaved a little differently, more confidently. Mostly he wore plain black loafers and cowboy boots and everything looked fine. To attend the funeral, he wore a short-sleeved white button-down shirt with only a vest and pants. Then, on the day of the funeral and at the grave, he was fully as in the church. He always got compliments when he wore it. Everyone has responded very positively to his appearance in it, wearing both a full and partial set. Several older women have told me that when they saw it in this issue, they thought of things like David Copperfield, President Roosevelt and the way their father or grandpa dressed, they loved it. He experienced a tremendous growth spurt. this year and is now wearing a size 12/14. He is no longer thin and has grown a few inches. This kit still fits, but barely. He has developed tremendously over the past year. He wore it at least every Sunday and then to several events. For the price I am happy with how well it has held up and shows no signs of wear and to have it on a teenager is impressive! I highly recommend this set in this color and pattern.
